Concerns, corrections & right of reply

If something on findmeaschool.au is wrong, unfair, out of date, or could identify a person, tell us. Schools, staff, parents and anyone else can use this process. It is free and you do not need a lawyer.

What we aim to do

  • A person reads every request. We aim to acknowledge it within 2 business days.
  • If you dispute a news or concerns item, we aim to take it down within 48 hours of receiving a request that identifies it, and keep it down while we review it. This is a precaution, not a finding that the item is wrong.
  • We aim to respond in writing within 10 business days: corrected, removed, or kept — with our reasons. If we need longer, we tell you why and when to expect it.
  • Where an item links to someone else's article, we can also point you to the publisher so the original can be corrected.
  • We keep a record of each request, what we decided and why, so decisions are consistent and can be checked.

What to include

  1. the page link and the item (school name, headline, date);
  2. what you say is wrong, misleading or harmful, and why;
  3. what you would like us to do (correct or remove it);
  4. your connection to it (for example, the school, a staff member, a parent) and how to contact you.

Please don't send other people's names or private details. If you have documents that show the item is wrong, say so and we will ask for them.
